My name is MacKenzie Maddox and this is my blog!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I started this blog because well…I love to write! I’m not the most sociable person and if I could, I would define myself as someone who is in-between the introvert-extrovert spectrum–an ambivert if you will! So I thought, “What better way to be more social than to launch a blog on a social media platform right?!”. However, if you still need more clarity as to who I am, I figured I would explain my identity with a few examples to offer some perspective: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But don’t label these positions as inferior! These are positions that require selflessness, consideration, and responsibility for other people’s emotions, feelings, surroundings, and group presentation. Essentially, these are the people who ensure everyone and everything remains in excellent condition, a utilitarian! Did that help? I hope it did and didn’t come across as braggadocious. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
My goal for this blog is to just have fun! I want to use this platform as a multifaceted, electronic journal where I talk about a variety of topics: makeup, self-care, and travel, as well as utilize this blog as a safe space and discuss thought-provoking topics– like why does Sonny from General Hospital have amnesia again<\/em>?!? LOL, I’m teasing…not really, like why is that show still on?? Quite frankly, y’all can thank my mama, auntie, and grandma for keeping that show in syndication. <\/p>\n\n\n\n My dad thinks he’s good at pretending not<\/em> to sneak a couple of peeks in while my mom is watching. But he ain’t slick, I know he be tapped into the show too ;).<\/p>\n\n\n\n If I am being fully transparent, it’s really challenging for me to put myself out there, which is attributed to past insecurities (still prevalent) and the fear of exclusion and rejection. But that’s the funny thing about us humans. We often worry about how we’ll be perceived by other people who don’t matter, or better yet we’ll vacation in our mind and harbor these thoughts only to realize a lot of people don’t even know we exist! <\/p>\n\n\n\n In fact, it’s almost always the same people we worry about that are usually the individuals who don’t know the difference between a graduation ceremony and an ABC Network dating competition that utilizes florescence as a method to define value (I hope you got those references, I’m corny, sue me). So does that mean it’s worth worrying about them? Absolutely not!<\/p>\n\n\n\n But I digress, I’m excited to see what this blog has to offer and what you all may have to say about it! <\/p>\n\n\n\n So by now, I think you’ve gotten the gist as to who I am. Everythang clear as mud? I threw in some corny comedy to (hopefully) keep you tuned in until the end.
